Jak 40 Engine.

We have managed to purchase two jet engines that are used in Russian JAK40 airliner. Currently the engines are stored and waiting for enough information to accumulate so that we can try to start them. First we need to figure out the issues of lubrication and where to obtain suitable oil. Then we need to find out the proper startup sequence and maybe build the startup sequentizer.

If you have any information about these engines or airliner engines in general please feel free to share it with us.

Our newest turbojet.

We have been building another more powerful version of the turbocharger jet engine. The turbo is from an auxiliary engine of a ship and about 2 times as big as the one used in "Eunuch2". Here are some pictures of the thest burns of the combustion chamber we are building for this jet.

Haapamäen höyryveturipuisto 2002.

This summer was the second time we had "Eunuch2" at "Haapamäen höyryveturipuisto" (Haapamaki steam locomotive park). This is the place where large number of old steam locomotives have brought after they have been removed from the stores of the "Valtionrautatiet" (Finnish Railroad). For these two summers there has been one day when old and strange technology has been at display there. We have been invited to bring "Eunuch2" there, since it is not very old, I guess they think it is strange.

The technology of "Eunuch2" seems to be quite mature. It hasn't been used for about half a year and we had only two small fixes to be made. One of the tyre valves was leaking and we had to replace it. The spark plug also ceased to operate and we needed a new one. All else was just some oil, fuel and fresh batteries.

Here are some pictures about "Eunuch2" in the park.
